Overview

  • The Panels menu allows you to open new Panels in the User Interface, and toggle Global Panels that can have a single instance.

Actions

VIEWPORT - Create New Panel

  • Creates a new Viewport Panel and docks it next to the Primary Viewport Panel.

  • The new Viewport will be set to display the content of the Active Document, but can be switched to display any open Document’s content.

  • The new Viewport will have default Display settings.

IMAGE VIEW - Create New Panel

  • Creates a new Image View Panel and docks it next to the Primary Viewport Panel.

  • Tha Image View Panel displays the bitmap of a selected Image Projection object - if no such object is selected, the Panel will be empty.

  • A new Image View Panel can also be opened via the large image button in the Image Projection object’s Alignment > Markers rollout in the Object Properties Panel.

  • The Image View Panel can be locked to a specific Document, and to a specific Image Projection object from that Document using the []> Options menu.

  • The name of the Document and of the Image Projection object will be displayed in the Panel’s Tab.

  • If the selected Image Projection does not reference a valid bitmap file, the default color gradient bitmap will appear in the Image View Panel.

DOCUMENT EXPLORER - Create New Panel

  • Creates a new Document Explorer Panel and docks it above the Primary Object Properties panel, if one exists. Otherwise, it will be docked to the right of the Primary Viewport Panel, below any other Panels docked there.

  • The Document Explorer displays a tree view of all currently open Documents, their Objects and their Operators.

OBJECT PROPERTIES - Create New Panel

  • Creates a new Object Properties Panel which displays the properties of the currently selected Object.

  • The Object Properties Panel can be locked to a specific Document and display only that Document’s selected Object’s properties.

  • The Object Properties Panelcan also be locked to a specific Object from a specific Document and only display its properties even if the selection changes.

  • Thus, creating multiple Object Properties Panels lets you lock each one of them to a different Document and/or Object, and edit/compare the properties side-by-side.

TRANSFORM - Create New Panel

  • Creates a new Transform Panel which displays the Position, Rotation and Scale values of the currently selected Object.

  • The Transform Panel can be locked to a specific Document and display only that Document’s selected Object’s transforms.

  • The Transform Panelcan also be locked to a specific Object from a specific Document and only display its transforms even if the selection changes.

  • Thus, creating multiple Transform Panels lets you lock each one of them to a different Document and/or Object, and edit/compare the transform values side-by-side.

PROJECTION LAYERS - Create New Panel

  • Creates a new Projection Layers Panel which displays/controls the order Image Projections are applied to scene objects.

  • The Projection Layers Panel can be locked to a specific Document and display only that Document’s Image Projections.

  • Thus, creating multiple Projection Layers Panels lets you lock them to different Documents edit/compare their Image Projection orders in parallel.

BOOKMARKS - Create New Panel

  • Creates a new Bookmarks Panel used to display/edit preset views in the Document.

TIMELINE - Create New Panel

  • Creates a new Timeline Panel used to control the current time and Camera animation.

TASK MANAGER - Display Global Panel

  • Toggles the visibility of the global Task Manager Panel which displays and manages the asynchronous (background) tasks scheduled to be processed by SEQUOIA.

LOG Window - Display Global Panel

  • Toggles the visibility of the global Log Window Panel used by the SEQUOIA system to report progress, error, statistics and debug messages to the user and the developers.

VIEWPORT SETTINGS Panel - Display Global Panel

  • Toggles the visibility of the global Viewport Settings Panel

  • It controls

    • The size, shape, transparency and count limit of points, per viewport.

    • The count limit of mesh faces and the point size when degraded, per viewport.

    • The clipping toggle, clipping distance and clipping range, per viewport.

    • The home grid spacing, segments, and units display, per document.
