Overview

  • In cinematography, anamorphic format is used to shoot a widescreen picture on a non-widescreen recording medium (film or digital sensor) with a non-widescreen native aspect ratio.
  • The image is stretched vetrtically by an anamorphic lens to fit,
  • It is stretched horizontaly back to widescreen format during projection by a different anamorphic lens.
  • This is done to use up the whole area of the recording medium and increase quality.

  • The Anamorphic Squeeze controls in Krakatoa MX are located in the Krakatoa Camera Modifier.
  • The effect applies only to the Krakatoa Depth Of Field circle of confusion aspect ratio.
  • The squeeze ratio is freely adjustable in both directions (stretching vertically or horizontally).
