If you’re familiar with Deadline 10 and looking to start using AWS Portal, we recommend starting here.

Note

While AWS Portal can enable cloud rendering in Deadline 10, AWS Deadline Cloud is a newer offering that has been built specifically for the cloud. It is a fully managed service that does not require installation or maintenance of infrastructure (e.g., repository, database, or license server). Worker fleet auto-scaling, asset synching, and licensing are all managed natively within AWS by Deadline Cloud. See here for more information on Deadline Cloud and its capabilities.

Solutions

Check Output Paths in Job Report

Check the Job Report to make sure the output path is correct. Also make sure that if the output path is correct, it is also in one of your AWS Asset Server Root Directories.

Check File Roots

Check to make sure that your output path is in one of the AWS Asset Server Root Directories. You can check this by:

  1. Opening the Deadline Monitor.

  2. In Power User mode open the AWS Portal panel and login if necessary.

  3. Go to Tools > Configure Asset Server.

  4. Check to make sure that the output path is in the Root Directories field.

  5. If it isn’t either add it or change the output path to be in one of the Root Directories.
