Genome MacroScripts¶
The Genome modifier appears on the regular 3ds Max Modifiers list in the Command Panel > Modify tab and can be added just like any other modifier to the current object selection.
The Stoke menu item in the Main Menu bar features a “GENOME Modifiers…” sub-menu section which contains two GENOME-Specific MacroScripts:
Add Genome Modifier… MacroScript¶
- When activated, the Command Panel will be switched to Modify mode if it is not in this mode yet, and an instance of the Genome modifier will be added to all currently selected geometry objects.
- Holding down the SHIFT key will create a unique Genome modifier to every selected object.
- If a single object is selected, the Genome modifier will be added above the currently selected modifier or base object. In other words, if there are multiple existing modifiers on the stack and the selected modifier is not the top one, the Genome modifier will be inserted into the stack above the currently selected level.
Add a Preset Genome Modifier… MacroScript¶
- When activated, a menu displaying the content of the Genome Presets folder and its top-level sub-folders will be displayed.
- Selecting a Preset from the menu will assign an instance of the Genome modifier to all currently selected geometry objects and load the Preset flow in all of them.
- Holding down the SHIFT key will create a unique Genome modifier to every selected object.
